Evenings: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

6:00pm – 9:00pm with a 30min dinner break

Daytime: Tuesday

Our large light-filled workshop space includes 10 pottery wheels, 2 slab rollers, hand-building tables, and all the tools you’ll need.

There’s a maximum of ten students per class so our students get plenty of one-on-one tutoring.

Our adult classes go for three hours (inc. a 30-min break), to allow for plenty of learning time, and so you’re not rushed during class.

Muddle Club

When you’re enrolled in our adult term classes, you automatically become a MUDDLE Club member, which means you can come along to the studio whenever it’s open to keep working on your projects or produce more work. You’ll have full use of the studio equipment and tools. You’re welcome to come while another class is running, but please keep in mind that the class participants have first priority when using equipment. One-on-one tutoring isn’t available while you’re not in designated class time, but as the studio is a working studio with a number of potters there’s always someone around to answer any questions you may have. Firing costs will be worked out on an individual basis, and will be at a very reasonable fee based on weight / size of your work.

The studio is open to MUDDLE Club members 10am – 9pm Monday – Thursday, and 10am – 5pm Fridays.

All of our muddle club classes are CUrrently booked out

If you would like to go on the waiting list for future terms (2021) please sign up using the form below.

Classes will no longer be available to be booked on the website, the waiting list is the only way to become a new student at MUDDLE.

Please don’t email asking if we are running anymore classes, if you can be squeezed in on a current class, or if you can be moved up the waiting list (so cheeky!). We are a very busy working studio & we appreciate your understanding that we are unable to spend a lot of time responding to emails. Hopefully all of your questions are answered here on the website.

kids classes
10 week term (in line with Tasmanian school terms)

$255

Tuesdays – BIG KIDS (High School aged kids)

4:00pm – 5.30pm

Thursdays – KIDS (Upper Primary ages 8+)

At MUDDLE we are all about our young students’ clay experience being fun, informative, creative and technique-focussed.

At the start of their MUDDLE term, kids are introduced to a number of basic techniques from which they build on to create their chosen series of works. As the student gains confidence in their chosen technique more independence can sometimes be introduced if they are demonstrating the skills and aptitude required to work on their own projects, should they choose to do so.

Clay, glazes, tools, equipment are all supplied, and firing of works made during class is included.

Our large light-filled workshop space includes 10 pottery wheels, 2 slab rollers, hand-building tables, and all the tools the kids need.
