At MUDDLE we are all about your childs’ clay experience being fun, informative, creative and technique-focussed.
At the start of their MUDDLE term, kids are introduced to a number of basic techniques from which they build on to create their chosen series of works. As the student gains confidence in their chosen technique more independence can sometimes be introduced if they are demonstrating the skills and aptitude required to work on their own projects, should they choose to do so.
In our experience working with kids needs to be on an individual basis, as some kids need much more structure than others, and some kids may have a lot of experience in working with clay so are very happy to work on their own with mentoring.

Out of stock
When you’re enrolled in our adult term classes, you can upgrade to become a Muddle Club member. When you’re in the Muddle Club you can come along to the studio whenever it’s open to keep working on your projects or produce more work. You’ll have full use of the studio equipment and tools. You’re welcome to come while another class is running, but please keep in mind that the class participants have first priority when using equipment. One-on-one tutoring isn’t available while you’re not in designated class time, but as the studio is a working studio with a number of potters there’s always someone around to answer any questions you may have. Firing costs will be worked out on an individual basis, and will be at a very reasonable fee based on weight / size of your work.
The studio will be open 10am – 9pm Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for you to access, as well as other times by negotiation.
